TOP244GN General Description
TOP244GN is a highly integrated off-line switcher IC manufactured by Power Integrations. It combines a 700 V power MOSFET, PWM control, fault protection, and other control circuitry into a single package, making it an ideal solution for low-power ac-dc power supplies. The TOP244GN operates on a wide input voltage range of 90-265 VAC, making it suitable for a variety of applications such as smart meters, auxiliary power supplies, and industrial controls. It incorporates a robust EcoSmart technology that enables efficient power conversion and reduces standby power consumption to less than 30 mW.This IC offers a maximum output power of 30 W and supports flyback, buck-boost, and buck converter topologies. It features a frequency jittering mode to minimize EMI emissions, while a cycle-by-cycle current limit prevents overstress conditions on the MOSFET and output diode. Additionally, it has built-in over-temperature, over-voltage, and over-load protection to ensure system reliability and safety.The TOP244GN comes in an industry-standard 7-lead PDIP package, making it easy to integrate into various designs.
