ICL3221EIVZ General Description

The ICL3221EIVZ is a RS-232 transceiver IC (integrated circuit) manufactured by Intersil Corporation. It is a low power, high-speed device that provides two transmitting and two receiving channels for interfacing between TTL (transistor-transistor logic) or CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) levels and RS-232 levels. This transceiver operates from a single +3.0V to +5.5V power supply and is capable of reaching data rates of up to 1Mbps. It features a low supply current consumption of only 200μA, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. The ICL3221EIVZ also includes a shutdown mode to conserve power when the device is not in use.
