UC3844BD1G General Description
The UC3844BD1G is a high-performance current-mode PWM controller designed for controlling switching power supplies. It features a high-speed pulse-width modulation (PWM) circuitry that operates at frequencies up to 500 kHz. This controller integrates functions such as a precision reference, a programmable oscillator, a pulse-steering flip-flop, a high-current totem-pole output stage, and an under-voltage lockout into a single chip.Operating with a voltage range of 8V to 35V, the UC3844BD1G offers flexibility in various power supply applications. It provides precise regulation of output voltage and current, ensuring stable and efficient power delivery. With its current-mode control architecture, it offers excellent transient response and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. Additionally, the UC3844BD1G includes features like adjustable soft start and frequency jitter for reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI). Its totem-pole output stage can source and sink current, enabling it to drive both power MOSFETs and bipolar transistors effectively.This controller comes in a small outline package (SOIC-8), making it suitable for compact designs.
