The ST232BDR is a dual driver/receiver that meets the requirements of RS-232 and RS-232 protocols with data rates up to 120 kbps. It features low power consumption and operates from a single 5V power supply, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. The device has two receivers with high input impedance, allowing it to operate with ±5V input voltage levels.The ST232BDR includes two drivers with thermal shutdown, ensuring the protection of the device in case of excessive power dissipation. It also has a low power shutdown mode that reduces power consumption when the device is not in use. The device is available in the SO-16 package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
