The PCA9545APW is a 4-channel I2C multiplexer/demultiplexer from Texas Instruments. It allows a single I2C bus to be shared between multiple devices, enabling communication with different I2C addresses. Each channel can be individually enabled or disabled through control registers, providing flexibility in routing I2C signals. The PCA9545APW operates at voltage levels between 2.3V and 5.5V, making it compatible with a wide range of devices. It has a low on-state resistance of typically 3.5 ohms, minimizing signal distortion when routing signals between channels. The device has a high-speed mode that supports data rates up to 400kbps, allowing for fast and efficient communication between devices.In addition, the PCA9545APW features a power-on reset function that ensures the device starts in a known state, preventing any potential issues during power-up.
