MC3479P General Description
The MC3479P is a monolithic power IC designed for use in bipolar stepper motor control systems. It contains all the necessary circuitry required to control a bipolar stepper motor, including dual full-bridge drivers, a clock oscillator, and direction control logic. The MC3479P operates from a wide voltage range of 6V to 35V, making it suitable for a variety of applications. It can deliver peak output currents of up to 1A per bridge, making it capable of driving a wide range of stepper motors. The MC3479P also features thermal shutdown protection to prevent overheating, ensuring reliable operation in demanding environments.In addition, the MC3479P includes built-in translator circuitry that simplifies the control of the stepper motor by allowing the user to send step and direction signals directly to the IC. This eliminates the need for complex external circuitry and reduces the overall system cost and complexity.
