MAX691CPE General Description

The MAX691CPE+ is a microprocessor supervisory circuit that monitors power supply voltage levels and keeps the microprocessor in reset until the supply voltage has reached stable and acceptable levels. This IC operates at a supply voltage ranging from 4.5V to 5.5V and is designed to provide a reset signal when the voltage falls below a preset threshold.The MAX691CPE+ features a manual reset input, which allows for external reset control, and includes a push-pull, active-high reset output with a 20mA sink capability. The reset signal remains active for a fixed delay time after the voltage rises above the threshold. This delay time is internally set at 100ms, ensuring that the microprocessor is held in reset until the power supply is stable.Additionally, the MAX691CPE+ has a low power consumption of 10μA, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. It comes in an 16-pin PDIP package, making it easy to integrate into various circuit designs for ensuring the reliable operation of microprocessors
