M48T18-100PC1 General Description
The M48T18-100PC1 is a non-volatile static RAM (NVSRAM) with a density of 256 Kbits organized as 32K x 8. It features a real-time clock/calendar with an integrated lithium battery that provides backup power. The device operates on a supply voltage of 4.75V to 5.5V and has a power-fail write protection feature to prevent data corruption during power outages.The M48T18-100PC1 has a clock/calendar that can be configured to run in either 12-hour or 24-hour format and has programmable alarms for time-based events. It also has a watchdog timer to monitor for system errors and a battery-backed trickle charger to recharge the integrated lithium battery.Other features of the M48T18-100PC1 include a 100ns access time, a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, and a low standby current consumption of 100µA. The device is offered in a 28-pin DIP package and is commonly used in industrial control systems, medical equipment, telecommunications, and other applications that require non-volatile memory with a real-time clock functionality
