The M41T0M6 is a low-power Serial Real-Time Clock (RTC) with a built-in power sense monitor, which operates at a wide voltage range of 1.6V to 5.5V. It features a battery-switchover circuitry that ensures a seamless transition between the main power supply and the backup battery in case of a power failure. The M41T0M6 offers a time accuracy of ±1ppm (parts per million) over the entire temperature range.This RTC chip has a clock/calendar with a programmable alarm and a countdown timer that can operate in either 12-hour or 24-hour formats. It also has a programmable square wave output for system clock synchronization. The M41T0M6 communicates over an I2C interface, allowing for easy integration into various microcontroller systems.In addition, the M41T0M6 has built-in non-volatile memory that can store user-defined information such as configuration settings and time stamps. The chip consumes very low power during operation, with a typical current draw of less than 400nA in timekeeping mode.
