The TPS2492PW is a hot-swappable precision current-limited power distribution switch from Texas Instruments. It is designed to provide protection for applications where power sources need to be connected in parallel with redundant power paths. This power distribution switch operates over a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 18V and can handle continuous output currents of up to 6A. It features precision overcurrent protection with a fixed current limit and adjustable current limit threshold. The device also includes undervoltage lockout, reverse current protection, and thermal shutdown capabilities to ensure safe operation in various fault conditions. The TPS2492PW comes in a TSSOP-16 package and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
