TOP242GN is a highly integrated switched-mode power supply controller, designed to deliver high efficiency and power density in a compact package. It is manufactured by Power Integrations, Inc. and is part of the TOPSwitch-GX family of ICs.The TOP242GN features a 725 V power MOSFET, oscillator, controller, and protection circuitry all in a single chip. It operates in a flyback topology and is capable of delivering up to 30 W of power. The device supports universal input voltage ranges of 85 VAC to 265 VAC, making it suitable for a wide range of applications including consumer electronics, PC peripherals, industrial controls, and LED lighting.The controller provides a range of protection features such as overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown, and auto-restart for increased reliability and safety.
