TNY253GN General Description
TNY253GN is an integrated circuit (IC) developed by Power Integrations. It is a member of the TinySwitch-III family, which is designed for off-line power supplies in a wide range of applications including power adapters, chargers, LED lighting, and industrial power supplies. The TNY253GN features an integrated 700 V power MOSFET, oscillator, simple ON/OFF control scheme, high voltage input protection, and thermal shutdown. It operates in the wide input voltage range of 85 to 265 VAC and can deliver up to 10 watts of output power. This IC incorporates Power Integrations' EcoSmart technology, which enables high efficiency and low standby power consumption. It also offers several protection features such as over-temperature protection, over-voltage protection, and auto-restart for thermal shutdown faults. The TNY253GN is housed in a compact 7-pin SMD package, making it suitable for space-constrained applications. Its design simplifies the implementation of flyback power supplies, reducing component count and overall system cost. Additionally, it complies with various safety standards including UL, CSA, and VDE.
