The SP485EEN-L/TR is a low-power half-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceiver designed for industrial applications. It operates at a maximum data rate of 250kbps and has a wide operating voltage range of 3V to 5.5V, making it suitable for a variety of applications.This transceiver features enhanced ESD protection up to ±15kV on the driver outputs and receiver inputs, providing robust protection against electrostatic discharges. It also has a low standby current of only 1μA, making it ideal for power-sensitive applications.The SP485EEN-L/TR has a driver output voltage of 2.1V with a 54Ω load, ensuring reliable communication over long cable lengths. It also has thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection features, further enhancing its reliability in harsh industrial environments.In addition, the SP485EEN-L/TR is available in a compact SSOP-8 package, making it easy to design into space-constrained PCB layouts.
