SN65HVD1786DR General Description
The SN65HVD1786DR is a half-duplex RS-485 transceiver designed for high-speed communication to transmit data over long distances in industrial applications. It has a data rate of up to 20 Mbps and operates on a single 3.3V power supply, making it suitable for battery-powered systems.This transceiver features a low standby current of 370µA, enabling power-efficient operation in idle mode. It also has thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection to prevent damage in harsh operating conditions.The SN65HVD1786DR has a wide common-mode voltage range of -7V to 12V, allowing it to be used in noisy industrial environments without signal degradation. It also has a 1/4 unit load input impedance, making it compatible with multi-drop configurations.
