The SCC2691AC1A28 is a UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) module manufactured by NXP Semiconductors. It is a single-chip CMOS device that offers full-duplex asynchronous communication capability. The device features a flexible baud rate generator, with baud rates up to 1.5 Mbps, and a 16-byte transmit and receive FIFO buffer to reduce processor loading.The SCC2691AC1A28 includes an internal loopback mode for diagnostics and features a 16C550A-compatible serial port.
