With its positive overvoltage protection feature capable of handling up to +20 V, the NCP361 ensures the system's safety. The integration of a PMOS FET eliminates the need for external devices, making it a cost-effective solution that also reduces the application board's PCB area. This product reacts swiftly by disconnecting the output from the input whenever the input voltage exceeds the overvoltage threshold (OVLO). Additionally, the overcurrent protection feature automatically turns off the integrated PMOS if the charge current surpasses the established limit. The provision of a FLAG output notifies the system of any faults that may occur. Moreover, the ESD protected input, rated at 15 kV in Air, combined with a 1.0 µF or larger capacitor, adds an extra layer of protection to the overall system
