The MC14016BCP is a 16-bit binary counter integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by ON Semiconductor. It is a synchronous presettable counter with asynchronous reset capability, featuring two internal negative edge-triggered flip-flops. The IC operates with a power supply voltage of 3 to 18 volts and has a maximum clock frequency of 10MHz.The MC14016BCP has a ripple-carry output that allows multiple counters to be cascaded together to create larger counting systems. It also has a parallel load capability, allowing the counter to be preset to a specific value using the parallel inputs.
