The M41T82SM6F is a low-power, serial real-time clock (RTC) in a small footprint 8-pin SOIC package. It features a time-of-day clock/calendar with alarm functions and a watchdog timer. The RTC has an operating voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V, making it suitable for a variety of low-power applications.The M41T82SM6F also includes a digital temperature sensor with ±3°C accuracy, making it useful for temperature monitoring applications. It features a programmable clock output, tamper detection, and a configurable I2C interface for communication with a microcontroller.This device has a battery backup input for a non-volatile memory in case of a power failure, ensuring reliable timestamp keeping. It has a low operating current of 400nA and a battery life expectancy of up to 10 years, making it suitable for battery-powered applications.
