ICM-20689 General Description

The ICM-20689 is a 6-axis motion sensor from TDK-InvenSense, designed for high-performance applications such as wearables, drones, and IoT devices. It combines a 3-axis gyroscope and a 3-axis accelerometer in a single package, providing accurate and reliable motion tracking capabilities.The gyroscope offers a full-scale range of ±250 to ±2000 degrees per second, with a sensitivity of 16,384 LSB per degrees per second. It has a temperature stability of ±1% over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The accelerometer has a full-scale range of ±2g to ±16g, with a sensitivity of 16,384 LSB per g. It features high vibration rejection and supports multiple motion sensing functions, including tap detection, orientation tracking, and gesture recognition.The ICM-20689 incorporates advanced features such as on-chip 16-bit ADCs, digital motion processing (DMP), and temperature compensation. It communicates with a host processor via an I2C or SPI interface, offering flexibility and ease of integration. The sensor is housed in a small 3mm x 3mm x 0.75mm package, making it ideal for space-constrained applications.
