DS89C21TM General Description
The DS89C21TM is a low-power, 8-bit microcontroller from Maxim Integrated. It features a high-performance 8051-compatible core with a maximum operating frequency of 33 MHz. The microcontroller has 8 KB of Flash memory for program storage and 256 bytes of RAM for data storage. It also includes an on-chip watchdog timer, UART, I2C, and SPI interfaces for communication with external devices.The DS89C21TM operates over a wide voltage range of 2.7V to 3.6V and has low power consumption, making it suitable for battery-operated applications. It also has a power-saving idle mode and power-down mode to further reduce power consumption when not in use.Other features of the DS89C21TM include 15 general-purpose I/O pins, two 16-bit timers/counters, and programmable serial I/O ports. It is available in a 44-pin quad flat pack (QFP) package, making it easy to integrate into a variety of electronic designs.
