ADM691AR General Description

The ADM691AR is a microprocessor supervisory circuit with manual reset input and watchdog timer. It is produced by Analog Devices and is housed in an 8-pin SOIC package. The device is designed to monitor the power supply voltage of a microprocessor or other digital system and assert a reset signal if the voltage falls below a specified threshold.The ADM691AR features an adjustable reset timeout period which can be set using an external capacitor. This allows for flexibility in setting the reset delay time to suit the specific requirements of the application. The manual reset input allows for an external pushbutton to be connected to force a reset condition when needed. The watchdog timer function of the ADM691AR monitors the activity of the microprocessor and resets the system if no activity is detected within a preset time period.
