ADM3491ARZ General Description
The ADM3491ARZ is a low power, precision RS-485/RS-422 transceiver with ±15 kV ESD protection. It operates at a data rate of up to 250 kbps in a half-duplex mode. The device features a low quiescent current consumption of only 300 µA, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. The ADM3491ARZ has a wide operating voltage range of 3 V to 5.5 V, making it compatible with a variety of power sources. It also offers a high common-mode voltage range of -7 V to +12 V, allowing for reliable communication in noisy industrial environments.The transceiver is housed in a small 8-lead SOIC package, making it suitable for space-constrained applications. It also features a thermal shutdown function to prevent the device from overheating during operation.
