UDN2559B General Description
The UDN2559B is a high-voltage, high-current, Darlington transistor array in an 18-pin DIP package. It consists of seven NPN Darlington pairs that feature high-voltage outputs with common-cathode clamp diodes for switching inductive loads. Each pair can handle up to 500 mA of continuous current and 750 mA peak current.The UDN2559B is designed for use in a wide range of motor control and general-purpose switching applications, where high-current loads need to be controlled with precision. It can be easily interfaced with microcontrollers and other logic devices using its standard TTL and CMOS input signals.The device features built-in thermal shutdown and output transient suppression circuits, ensuring safe and reliable operation even in harsh environments. It also has an integrated flyback diode for protection against back EMF generated by inductive loads.
