The UCC2808APW-2 is a pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller designed for use in low-power, off-line flyback converters. Manufactured by Texas Instruments, it operates with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 28V and can handle output voltages up to 30V. The device features a fixed-frequency oscillator with a frequency range of 50kHz to 250kHz and adjustable peak current limit. Its low-start-up current (less than 250µA) makes it suitable for applications requiring high efficiency at light loads.With its integrated soft-start function, the UCC2808APW-2 prevents excessive inrush current during start-up, enhancing system reliability. It also incorporates cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown protection, safeguarding against overcurrent and overheating conditions.
