TOP222P is a highly integrated and energy efficient offline switcher IC manufactured by Power Integrations. It is specifically designed for low-power offline power supply applications. The TOP222P incorporates high voltage power MOSFET, PWM control, oscillator, thermal shutdown, and protection circuitry all in a single chip. This integration helps to reduce component count and board space, making it ideal for compact and cost-effective power supply designs.TOP222P is capable of delivering up to 12 watts of power output and supports universal input voltage ranging from 85 to 265 volts AC. It operates in PWM mode with a fixed frequency of 132 kHz, providing efficient power conversion and regulation. The IC also features frequency jittering for improved EMI performance and greater system reliability.In terms of protection features, TOP222P offers overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown to ensure safe and reliable operation. It also has a low standby power consumption of less than 30 mW, making it suitable for applications that require high efficiency and low standby power consumption.
