The TNY256PN is a member of Power Integrations' TinySwitch-III series of Energy-Efficient, Off-Line Switcher ICs designed for power supply applications. This IC is capable of delivering up to 33 watts of output power with high efficiency and low power consumption. The TNY256PN features a built-in 725 V power MOSFET, which eliminates the need for an external voltage through a regulator. Its internal frequency jittering greatly reduces EMI emissions, making it compliant with various global energy efficiency standards such as ENERGY STAR and EuP. This IC also incorporates advanced protection features like auto-restart and thermal shutdown, ensuring safe and reliable operation.The TNY256PN operates in a wide input voltage range of 85 VAC to 265 VAC and supports an output voltage range of 5 V to 24 V.
