The PCAL6416AHF,128 is a part of the PCAL6416A series of I2C bus expanders from Texas Instruments. It is a 16-bit I/O expander with interrupt capabilities and a hardware address pin that allows up to 128 devices to be connected on the same I2C bus. This device offers a variety of features, including inputs that can be configured as either inputs or outputs, programmable polarity inversion, and configurable open-drain or push-pull outputs. It operates at a wide voltage range of 1.65V to 5.5V, making it suitable for a range of applications.The PCAL6416AHF,128 also includes a programmable internal interrupt controller that can generate an interrupt and wake up the microcontroller when a specified input changes. This feature helps reduce the microcontroller's power consumption by allowing it to enter a low-power state until an important event occurs.
