The MC44603P is a voltage mode PWM controller IC designed for use in switch mode power supplies. It features a high performance current mode PWM controller with a fixed frequency oscillator to help simplify design and reduce external component count. This IC operates with an input voltage range of 8 to 35 volts and provides an adjustable output voltage through an external resistor divider network. It offers overvoltage protection, thermal shutdown, and undervoltage lockout for added reliability and safety. The MC44603P also includes a built-in 60 kHz oscillator, adjustable pulse-by-pulse peak current limit, and soft start function to help control inrush current during startup. It is housed in an 8-pin dual in-line package (DIP) for easy mounting on a printed circuit board.
