MAX3232EIPWR General Description

MAX3232EIPWR is a dual RS-232 transmitter/receiver interface IC. It operates on a single 3.0V to 5.5V power supply and features a low-power shutdown mode, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. The IC is capable of converting TTL/CMOS levels to RS-232 levels and vice versa, providing reliable serial communication between devices.The MAX3232EIPWR has a data rate of up to 250kbps and is compatible with EIA/TIA-232 and V.28/V.24 standards. It includes a ±15kV ESD protection on the RS-232 I/O pins, safeguarding against electrostatic discharge events. The IC comes in a 16-pin TSSOP package, saving board space and enabling easy integration into various designs.
