The FT2232HL-REEL is a dual high-speed USB to multipurpose UART/FIFO IC, designed by FTDI. It features two independent interfaces that can be configured as UART, FIFO, or JTAG, making it versatile for a variety of applications. The chip supports high data rates up to 12 Mbps and has a built-in clock generator with a frequency tuning range of 24MHz to 40MHz. It is capable of handling various serial protocols such as RS232, RS422, and RS485.The FT2232HL-REEL comes in a compact QFN-64 package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs. It has integrated EEPROM for storing device-specific information and settings. The chip is compatible with USB 2.0 and supports both bus-powered and self-powered modes.
