FOD817A3SD General Description
The FOD817A3SD is an optocoupler, also known as an optoisolator, manufactured by Fairchild Semiconductor. It consists of an infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a phototransistor detector. This component is housed in a small outline package (SOP-4). The optocoupler is designed to provide electrical isolation between input and output circuits while allowing signal transmission via light. With a high current transfer ratio (CTR) of 50-600% at a forward current of 5mA, it ensures efficient signal transfer. The device operates over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +100°C, making it suitable for various industrial and automotive applications.
