MobileTech showcases a variety of cutting-edge edge computing and machine vision solutions

During Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, MobileTech, a leading global provider of total IoT solutions, is joining forces with customers to highlight various cutting-edge compute-intensive and edge intelligence solutions.

The solutions use MobileTech's intelligent modules to enable application terminals to process data and make faster data-driven decisions in real time by providing powerful edge computing capabilities.

At the same time, the modules also offer multiple advantages, such as low power consumption, edge computing, high-speed connectivity, and advanced security.

During the exhibition, MobileTech showcased a series of leading innovative applications on-site: 

Vision Inspection Solution

The vision inspection solution was developed by MobileTech using the SG865W-WF, an intelligent module equipped with Qualcomm's QCS8250 platform, and industrial equipment, including cameras, lenses, and light sources.

The solution uses edge computing to analyze inspection samples in real time. Based on the analysis results, it identifies and screens out modules with scratches, dirt, or surface printing abnormalities during the production process.

MobileTech has achieved industry-leading accuracy and speed in an automated quality inspection by deploying this solution, significantly improving module production efficiency and quality.

Advanced Color Selection Solution

The color sorting solution is based on the Qualcomm QCM6490 platform. It integrates hardware such as cameras, light sources, and air guns to identify and sort out impurities or off-color products from various production materials more efficiently and accurately through color detection, effectively improving production efficiency.

The solution is designed for industrial material management and applies to various screening objects, from grains and nuts to recyclable paper and plastic products. With an advanced vision recognition system and support for four cameras working simultaneously, the solution can handle large quantities of material color selection with high accuracy and an error rate of less than 1/200,000.

The Blue Frog Robot-Buddy

Buddy, the Blue Frog Robot, is an emotional companion robot that has won the hearts of thousands of users worldwide. With its unique appeal, Buddy improves the quality of life for users by creating social connections, helping children learn, and caring for older people.

The Smart Module SC66 is now being used in Bluefrog's newest Buddy PRO robot to develop emotional AI features that will have a significant positive impact on solving some of society's problems, such as an aging population, the inclusion of vulnerable people, and education.

Teksun Tejas Care device

Teksun Tejas Care device integrates edge computing and machine vision capabilities to enable people's health monitoring through home cameras, temperature monitoring, heart rate monitoring, fall detection, intrusion detection, stress monitoring, etc.

Teksun Tejas Care devices and SoM system platforms are powered by MobileTech SC600T and SC20 modules. With edge computing and machine intelligence, these solutions have been used in various scenario applications such as smart city, medical health, automotive, industry 4.0, home automation, and logistics.

In addition, Mobile Cloud Services also supported all live demonstrations during MWC and was used to showcase the Mobile Connection Management Platform (QCMP) and the Mobile iSIM solution.

The QCMP platform provides a centralized, easy-to-use solution that helps customers manage and monitor the status of IoT devices and their cellular network connections. In addition to device management and monitoring, users can analyze connectivity status and network performance in real-time and remotely configure and update terminal settings.

The iSIM solution provides flexible IoT connectivity options while significantly improving the security of all connected devices. Customers using MobileTech's iSIM solution do not need to install physical SIM cards, install SIM cards at deployment points, or embed SIM cards suitable for specific regions at the time of production, thus significantly reducing costs and simplifying logistics and transportation.
